Getting started
After installing and starting the Entity Relationship Modelling Tool the Resource Perspective is shown.
To create a new ER diagram proceed the following step
- Open the ERMT perspective under Window/Open Perspective/Other/Entity Relationship Perspective
- Open the navigator view (if not yet open) under Window/Show View/Other/Basic/Navigator
- Create a new Simple project under File/New/Project/Simple/Project
- Select the project and create a new file under File/New/Other/Entity Relationship Edititor
- The Entity Relationship Edititor opens and shows the logical model
Now you can create new entities by selecting the "New Entity" tool and left-clicking on the editor background.
To reverse engineer a database you need to select a suitable database driver in the preference settings.
