Installation
The installation differs depending on the downloaded file.
Please note:
- To reverse engineer a PostgreSQL database you need to obtain the PostgreSQL JDBC driver. This driver can be
downloaded from the PostgeSQL JDBC website.

- Plugin-only download
- Download and install the java sdk or jdk version 1.4.x (not yet tested with version 1.5).
- Download the Eclipse framework version 3.1. Choose the version appropriate to your OS.
- Unzip the zipped file to the directory you want Eclipse to be installed.
- Download the Eclipse plugin GEF version 3.1. Choose the version appropriate to your OS.
- Unzip the zipped file to the Eclipse directory. Make sure the zipped directories match the Eclipse directory structure.
- Download the ERMT plugin zip file 'de.softomatix.entityrelationship_xxx'.
- Unzip the zipped file to the Eclipse/plugins directory. Make sure the zipped directories match the Eclipse directory structure.
- Win32
- Make sure the java executable 'java.exe' is in your path.
- Make sure the environment variable JAVA_HOME is set to the directory your java runtime or sdk files are installed.
- Start the executable 'ermt.exe'.
- Linux
- Install the java sdk.
- Install Eclipse.
- After Eclipse workbench did start, shut it down and
- extract the GEF plugin to the Eclipse directory. Make sure the zipped directories match the Eclipse directory structure.
- Extract the plugin download version into the Eclipse-plugin directory.
- Start Eclipse.
