There is one additional perspective called 'Entity Relationship Perspective'. It's layout defines the position of the three additional views.

The content of the view is set by selection. The Entities Tree View content is set when selecting an entity or association in the editor. After the content is set the element is selected in the view and scrolled into the visible area. When selecting an Entities Tree View element the content of the Entity Tree View is set. Initially the name of the element is selected in the Entity Tree View. When selecting an element of the Entity Tree View the content of the Entity Table View is set. The content is related to the selected element of the Entity Tree View. The Entity Table View is used to add, modify or delete properties of the selected entity element in the Entity Tree View.
Thus the content of the views is determined by the selected element in the entity relationship editor.
It is also possible to show a selected element of the Entities Tree View or Entity Tree View in the editor. Therefor one can also move throught the model by following the references of the model.
